As Dara O'Briain opines "Nostalgia is heroin for old people", but as I'm nearly 40 I think I'm allowed a few memories from my childhood.
I always loved The Two Ronnies, well Ronnie Barker anyway. His timing is perfect and I've always thought him one of the funniest comedic actors of all time.
Enjoy this classic slice of tv magic.

This is such a clever sketch - and hilarious with it. Typical of a lot of Two Ronnies stuff.
How the fuck they got through filming that without pissing themselves laughing every two minutes is anyone's guess.
I think I'm correct in saying that Barry Cryer was involved in the writing team on the show. That factor in itself is a gold seal of quality.
A quick squint at Wiki shows that, in addition to Cryer, the writing team also included - at various points - Ray Alan, John Cleese, Spike Milligan, David Nobbs, David Renwick, John Sullivan, Michael Palin, Terry Jones, Terry Ravenscroft and Ronnie Barker himself.
A golden age.
Barker was a comedy great... never been sure about Corbett though. I've never liked him on his own. I find him unpalatable. Like vinegar in fact. I hate the stuff but slosh it round a pickled onion and I love it. Barker is the onion for me. He makes it all right.
The Four Candles sketch for me is still the numero uno.
Mr C - You can't really fail with a team like that.
Steve - You should have a look for The Two Ronnies 'Swear Box' sketch, it's a classic.
Classic comedy !!!
